AUGUSTA -- A door-to-door magazine salesman from
Street was sentenced to 29 months in prison for his
conviction in four assaults and two acts of criminal trespass that occurred in
Justice John Nivison imposed consecutive sentences on all but one of the misdemeanor offenses, as requested by the state.
"Preying on unsuspecting individuals in their homes shakes the confidence of all individuals," Nivison said.
One set of victims said they acquired a security alarm and two dogs as a result of their encounter with Street.
"My life has been forever altered," said one woman who was assaulted by Street. "I relive that assault repeatedly."
She said she withdrew from friends and questioned her faith after the attack.
"I don't feel completely safe in my own home," the woman said. It is the policy of the newspaper not to identify victims of sex assaults.
According to a sentencing memorandum by assistant district attorney Paul Rucha, the woman said she was raped but had only a hazy memory of the event.

Sullivan asked that Street be sentenced to the eight months he has already served and be free to return home. That request was rejected.
Court records list Street's address as
